I'm Dev Raj Bhattarai, React and MERN Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience building performant, production-grade web applications across ERP, fintech-adjacent, e-commerce, and social platforms. Skilled in React, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB, with recent focus on designing AI-powered features using LLM integration, prompt engineering, and semantic recommendation systems. Comfortable owning features end-to-end, from API design through deployment, and collaborating directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

My journey started with React and modern JavaScript, translating UI/UX wireframes into responsive, production-ready interfaces across ERP, e-commerce, and social platforms. Over time I moved deeper into backend development, owning REST APIs, authentication, real-time systems, and deployment end to end.

Today my focus sits at the intersection of the MERN stack and Agentic AI. I work with the OpenAI API, prompt engineering, semantic intent matching, and hybrid recommendation pipelines to build products that pair solid engineering with intelligent, autonomous behaviour.

Architected a scalable backend for a social networking platform (Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Socket.IO) supporting user matching, connections, and real-time messaging. Built an AI-powered intent-matching engine with OpenAI GPT models and a custom semantic taxonomy, backed by a hybrid recommendation pipeline combining rule-based extraction, taxonomy clustering, and LLM evaluation. Built the full coupon lifecycle (creation, validation, redemption, and expiration) with RESTful APIs integrated into checkout, order management, and payment systems, backed by atomic, concurrency-safe transactions to prevent misuse and keep redemption data consistent.
